Dierks Bentley & Luke Bryan Will Not Host the ACMs in 2018

The era of โ€œLurksโ€ has come to an end.

A rep for the Academy of Country Music has confirmed Luke Bryan and Dierks Bentley will not serve as hosts of the upcoming 53rd ACM Awards.

Dierks broke the news Monday (Feb. 5) during his keynote address at Country Radio Seminar in Nashville.

โ€œYeah, we got fired this year. That's over,โ€ he joked. โ€œIs that not public knowledge? Iโ€™d assumed it is.โ€

Despite his light-hearted retort, the โ€œWoman Amenโ€ singer had nothing but good things to say about both his hosting stint and his co-host Luke.

โ€œItโ€™s hard not to have fun with Luke,โ€ he said, โ€œand the ACMs are great. The ACMs have been so good to me.โ€

And even though he and Luke wonโ€™t share an ACM connection anymore, Dierks assures he and the โ€œMost People Are Goodโ€ singer will stay good themselves.

โ€œI love Luke to death,โ€ Dierks added. โ€œAnyone in this business thatโ€™s married and has kids, you kinda find each other. Youโ€™re always looking for life hacks, and ways to optimize the whole deal.โ€

The ACM is slated to announce the new hosts of โ€œCountry Musicโ€™s Party of the Yearโ€ in the coming weeks.

The 53rd ACM Awards broadcasts live from MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas Sunday, April 15 on CBS.
