Niall Horan & Hailee Steinfeld Make Rare Public Appearance Together In NYC

Niall Horan and Hailee Steinfeld made a rare public appearance together on Monday (July 16) when the pop stars were spotted out and about in the streets of New York City ahead of the latter's performance at Radio City Music Hall.

Photogs caught the duo doing some shopping down Saks Fifth Avenue just hours before Steinfeld's opening set as part of Charlie Puth's "Voicenotes Tour," which kicked off a week ago in Toronto, Canada. While the couple sparked romantic rumors over four months ago, it's worth noting that they are making sure that they spend time together even while on the road. "Niall flew to New York City to hang out with Hailee during his three-day break from tour," a source told Us Weekly. "He had a show in Mexico on Saturday and another one in Houston on Wednesday."

"He's in New York alone — no staff, crew, friends, etc.," the source continued. "They’ve been staying at a hotel together in New York."

Even though Steinfeld and Horan haven't confirmed their relationship publicly, there have been plenty of signs of their romance, particularly after Horan's set at BBC's Biggest Weekend, where they were spotted kissing. "They were snogging, they were. So cute," Radio 1 producer Fiona Hanlon said via a report from The Sun. Back in March, Steinfeld also offered up a clue when she uploaded a photo of herself wearing a Horan merch t-shirt. Low and behold, the caption to the hot shot was none other than coordinates to the O2 Academy in Brixton, London, which just so happened to be the venue that the former One Direction star had played two days prior.

In a previous interview with Us Weekly, the actress-turned-singer remained mum on the subject of a romance with Horan, but didn't necessarily deny it either. "I feel so lucky that [my fans] care enough about me to know what I'm doing every second of every day, but I think that sometimes it's hard for people to realize that there are boundaries to a person's life and personal life," she explained. "I am a very private person. I do love that I have the opportunity to share with them what I'm comfortable with and they're there to listen and support me."
