Disney's New 'Extra' Extra Magic Hours Will Get You In The Parks At 6 A.M.

Walt Disney World Resort Celebrates 45th Anniversary to Colorful Fanfare

If you like your vacations to be nice and relaxing, the latest news out of Walt Disney World isn't for you. The Lake Buena Vista, Florida based theme park has announced guests will be able to get into the parks as early as 6 a.m. this fall, so, make sure you're setting your alarms.

With the highly anticipated Star Wars: Galaxy Edge opening in Disney's Hollywood Studios this August, crowd levels are expected to be super high. In order to accommodate the increased influx of park-goers, Walt Disney World has decided to expand their Extra Magic Hours perk for resort guests. The expansion is fittingly called Extra, Extra Magic Hours.

Starting September 1, guests staying at Disney Resort hotels, including hotels in Disney Springs Resort Area, will be able to enter the parks at 6.am. The Extra, Extra Magic Hours vary by park, of course, with Disneyā€™s Hollywood Studios opening the earliest of all from 6a.m. to 9:00a.m. daily. This makes sense as the new Toy Story Land, as well as Star Wars: Galaxy Edge, are both located in DHS.

Disneyā€™s Animal Kingdom theme park, which includes Pandora: The World of Avatar, will be open from 7:00am to 8:00am daily. Magic Kingdom will have the same daily Extra, Extra Magic Hours as Animal Kingdom. Epcot will not have any Extra, Extra Magic Hours, though the regularly scheduled Extra Magic Hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays will continue for the foreseeable future.

What do you think: is it worth to wake up at the crack of dawn to ride Flight of Passage and Millennium Falcom: Smuggler's Run?
