Lindsay Lohan has nothing but amazing things to say about Freaky Friday sequel, Freakier Friday, and recently revealed new details about the forthcoming film's plot.
The Parent Trap alum sat down with Jimmy Fallon for Sunday's (November 17) episode of The Tonight Show to discuss all things Freakier Friday (slated for release in August 2025), including tidbits from the last film that made it into the final cut. First and foremost, the star guaranteed fans that the sequel was "really funny."
"Jamie and I, even at the table read, we were just smiling so big. I don't think we were acting well because we were so happy. But, the movie is funny. It's really funny."
Lohan also assured that Pink Slip, the band her character Anna Coleman fronted in the original film, reunite in Freakier Friday!
Jamie Lee Curtis (who played Tess Coleman in the beloved 2003 blockbuster) hinted at the possibility of some new (and old) music present throughout the highly-anticipated sequel during an interview with Entertainment Weekly in August, the same month the film wrapped production.
"I'm telling you, it's going to be a monster hit. I'm not going to tell you what it's called because we're in the middle of making it, but there are some old favorites played in this movie." As for the plot, Lohan shared that while her character has "calmed down a bit" for the second film, she now has a teenage daughter of her own, meaning the familiar chaos we know and love is certainly not out of the question.
"Anna is grown up now. She has a teenage daughter, so there's a lot going on in that relationship. Although Anna has calmed down a bit since she was a teenager."
