Bebe Rexha is "unbothered" by body-shaming trolls.
A clip from one of Rexha's recent Instagram Lives went viral this week after the singer responded to a hater who left a rude comment on her appearance, saying she looks "like Marilyn Monroe after she ate Lizzo," per People. In the video, other people could be heard gasping as Rexha, who was in Dubai for an "amazing charity event," repeated the comment, but she was already over the conversation.
"Honestly, who cares?" she said. "That's a f---in' hater, like, who's bored with their life."
When her friends asked if she had seen the now-viral clip, she shared a follow-up video on Thursday (February 27) where she admitted that she was "nosy" and wanted to read the comments. While many of her fans were "very nice to me and supportive," she wanted to clear the air and "say a couple things" in regards to the negativity.
"Number one, I am unbothered. Number two, I'm very aware of everything. I know I gained weight. I know that I've been through a lot. I know that people know my songs but don't know me, and I haven't gotten the recognition I've deserved," she said. "But instead of letting that all break me down, it's actually made me feel more powerful. I've been working on new music, and I've been putting it into my music."
The I'm Good singer ended her comments by tellings fans not to "feel bad" for her as she promises "I feel stronger than ever."
