Full List of Grammy Noms' Released

Friday came in hot this morning when the official list of 2019 Grammy nominees was released. Per usual, as much excitement and honor that comes with the list it was matched the inevitable sniping over perceived snubs.

This year a handful of A-listers were once again out of the Big 4 categories that are, album of the year, song of the year, record of the year and best new artist.

The biggest shock of this list comes after reading that the queen of pop, Taylor Swift, was not nominated for any of the Big 4 categories. The only acknowledgement her Reputation album is receiving is in the best pop vocal album category. Even though her newest album received a lot of missed reviews it was still the Billboard's biggest album of 2018. And her reputation tour was the highest grossing tour not only in 2018 but in U.S. history with $266.1 million in ticket sales!

Another artist whose music was ignored at this years award show was the princess, Ariana Grande. This isn't the first time the artist hasn't received much love with the voters but the absent of her Sweetener album is definitely alarming. The album did offer get noticed in the best pop vocal album category and her hit, "God Is a Woman" is up for best pop solo performance.

But rest easy, Ari is not letting this slow her music creating roll, she recently just announced she is looking forward to creating "so much more music" and excited for a new project she is releasing "ASAP."

If the Grammy's wanted to kill two birds with one stone, they did it by leaving out Queen Bey and her man, Jay-Z. The couples newest album, Everything Is Love is another one that didn't make the noms cut for album of the year. Although, it did make the cut three other overall categories.

The 61 Grammy Awards air Feb. 10 on CBS, broadcast live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
