[STUDY] Most People Can Tell If You Are Rich By Looking At Your Face

I swear these studies crack me up!! I just think it's so funny, that they say you can tell if someone is rich by looking at their face. Oh? Okay. Let's dig a little deeper then... The Journal of Personality and Social Psychology that states that people can usually tell if you are rich just by looking at you.

"The relationship between well-being and social class has been demonstrated by previous research," R. Thora Bjornsdottir, a graduate student at the University of Toronto and co-author of the study, tells CNBC Make It. In general, people with money tend to live happier, less anxious lives compared to those struggling to make ends meet. She and her team demonstrated "that these well-being differences are actually reflected in people's faces."

Okay. That makes sense. So I guess if you look frantic and stressed in the face you are poor? (Sarcasm)

Bjornsdottir and her co-author Nicholas O. Rule had students look at a wide range of photos 80 white males and 80 white females and none of them showed any tattoos and such. Half of the pictures had people who made over 150,000 a year and the other half made under 35,000.

When the students were asked to pick which photos were of those who are making over 150,000 a year the students got it right 68 percent of the time.

"I didn't think the effects would be quite as strong, especially given how subtle the differences are" in the faces, Rule told The Cut. "That's the most surprising part of the study to me."

Hmmmm. Do you think that you would be able to tell?
