Could self-serve soft drink fountains be a thing of the past at McDonald's locations nationwide?
According to KTLA 5, McDonald's plans to get rid of the soda machines in the dining rooms across the nation as customers are choosing the take out or digital order ways to consume their food instead of using the dining room. Some McDonald's locations have already removed their soda fountains and customers who visits these locations will just need to go to the counter to ask employees for a refill.
“McDonald’s will be transitioning away from self-serve beverage stations in dining rooms across the U.S. by 2032. This change is intended to create a consistent experience for both customers and crew across all ordering points, whether that’s McDelivery, the app, kiosk, drive-thru or in-restaurant,” McDonald’s said in a statement to KTLA.
