Gone in 60 seconds … According to some number-crunchers at the Highway Loss Data Institute some very specific cars are targeted by car thieves. They found that the Chevy Camaro ZL1 – which retails for around $75,000 – tops the list with a theft rate 39 times higher than average. The Acura TLX 4WD, which is a $46,000 sport sedan, is number two on the list, stolen at a rate of about 21 times more than the average. The standard, basic Chevy Camaro was the third most-commonly stolen model. Thieves are on the prowl for vehicles that are expensive and relatively powerful. Pretty much muscle cars and pickup trucks.
