How about just cookies for Thanksgiving? ... After its smash collaboration with Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, the makers of Oreo have their sights set on Thanksgiving. The company is selling a special tin of six Thanksgiving-inspired flavors through its website. The classic Oreos are dipped in frosting that tastes like Cranberry Sauce, Pumpkin Pie, Turkey & Stuffing, Creamed Corn, Sweet Potato and Caramel Apple Pie. The company says that they "invite fans to join a bold taste journey and share their honest feedback."
Speaking of strange Thanksgiving flavors ...
Thanksgiving noodles? No thanks. Cup Noodles may have finally gone a bit too far with its latest flavor. Just when you thought Nissin reached that point over the summer when it introduced dill pickle flavored noodles, they're now out with a pair of Thanksgiving-inspired flavors, including pumpkin pie noodles.
Food bloggers have given it a try, and the reviews have not been very good. One described the taste as "artificially sweetened zucchini mixed with a touch of pool water." The other new flavor sounds much more palatable. It's turkey dinner-flavored and is supposed to combine "the rich essence of herb-seasoned turkey broth with sweet corn, tangy cranberry bursts, crisp green beans, warming spices, and tender noodles." However, reviews say it just simply tastes like regular chicken-flavored noodles.
