America Ferrera announced over the holiday weekend that she and her husband, Ryan Piers Williams, are expecting their first child together and then perfectly celebrated the news with none other than her Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants crew.
“Starting the New Year off with blessings from my Sisterhood,” America captioned a photo of herself sitting on a couch with costars Alexis Bledel, Blake Lively and Amber Tamblyn. “We’ve got work to do for the next generation. Let’s get to it. #TIMESUP,” she added, referring to the newly launched anti-sexual harassment campaign Time’s Up.
The costars have been close friends since starring in the first movie of the franchise in 2005.
“We almost forget that we made a movie together because our friendship was created from so many other experiences,” America told Entertainment Weekly in an interview back in 2013. “The fact that our friendship started in this beautiful film that was so meaningful to all of us and to our lives and our careers and to our friendship, we are always so grateful for it.”
This will be the first child for the actress.
